Reach for the Stars to help young Nina
Rob Rafferty
My Story
Once the realm of Disney magic in the "Rocketeer" has become a reality to help change the life of an amazing young girl called Nina.
On the 3rd May, I will be strapped into one of the world's first jet packs, with over 1050bhp. In contrast the suit is as powerful as an F1 Car. A safety rope will be in place, but apart from that it is me... jet pack... & blue skies ahead.
In the words of Buzz Light Year "Why go from Infinite to Beyond". I am raising funds towards a specialist wheelchair for Nina and to support the work of the Boparan Charitable Trust.
The inspirational infant has Metatrophic Dysplasia, skeletal deformity and Kyphoscoliosis, which means exhaustive daily physio and a ventilator every night. In the future she will face multiple surgeries, including double hip and knee replacements.
Nina is a fun loving girl, who is bright and curious, thriving on interaction with the outside world. However, due to her unique circumstances, she can only be home educated. The specialist wheelchair will open a whole new world for Nina in terms of independence and an ability to engage with other young people.
Please help me to support a Brighter Future for Nina and the Boparan Trust.
